Welcome Aboard Mike!

Welcome Aboard Mike.

I’ve always been passionate about snowmobiling, especially in the hills of Newfoundland!

After moving home (2015) from living/working in Alberta for 10 years, I had wanted to start doing more riding but work prevented me from doing so.

Fast forward to two years later; a new job and a more sledder friendly work schedule, I racked up 3300 kms in Taylor’s Brook Road area for the winter 2017-2018.

Admittedly, I’m not what I would call an aggressive rider but I enjoy watching others do so. I enjoy the outdoors in winter but I am most interested in seeing everyone arrive home safely with their snowmobiles in one piece.

On a personal side, back in March of 1999, my sister at 26 years old was killed in a tragic snowmobile accident near Springdale. This really made snowmobiling mean something totally different for me. For that reason I enjoy helping keep everyone safe by encouraging proactive riding and helping out when people are stuck, broken down or in need of any help. You can never be too prepared for the backcountry.

For this upcoming season, I’m looking forward to exploring more this year with my girlfriend Karen and racking up more kms on my 2017 Summit SP 800. Karen rides a 2013 Assault Switchback, on which she made her first couple trips into Western Brook Gorge last winter, in fact, these were her first rides on snowmobile ever.

I’m looking forward to sharing some of my past adventures and some of this season’s adventures.
