“A Q&A With Lewis Hills Lodge Owner & 2020 Cain’s Quest Competitor

–  Gerard Brake.”

Sledworthy: You are participating in the Cain’s Quest snowmobile race this year. Why did you decide to race?

Gerard Brake: Yes, I am participating as Team 49 – GNR Racing with Lewis Hills Lodge. I decided to race when a long-time friend (Guy Styles) who participated in the 2018 CQ race. Guy asked me to be his new race partner.  I have always wanted to see the Big Land and have often thought about doing Cain’s Quest and I believe this opportunity was just meant to be. I also figured that it would be some good advertising for the lodge.

Sledworthy: What are you looking forward to the most about Cain’s Quest?

Team 49 – Guy Styles

Gerard Brake: Seeing the variety of landscapes that Labrador contains and crossing that finish line.

Sledworthy: What do you think will be the most challenging part of your Cain’s Quest experience?

Gerard Brake: The biggest challenge will be to ride extended periods of time, especially if we get stormy weather and extreme cold temperatures.
